I've always been interested in drawing and painting. At university I studied graphic design and illustration, specialising in scientific illustration. I particularly enjoy botanical and zoological painting in watercolour. I am often to be found painting wild flora, fruits, lichen and funghi from the hedgerow and woods of my local area. I'm drawn by the intricate detail revealed by the magnifying glass.
I have worked over the years for The Cambridge University Botanical Garden, The Hunterian Museum and Cambridge University Zoology Museum as a freelance illustrator.
I try to pass on what I have learnt in an art class for children.

If you are looking for an original art work or illustration and you are interested in my style, then please get in touch. If you would like to license any illustrations you have seen, please let me know on the contact form. Prints and cards available.
